I know, I know....

So much for the every day blogging. My son Nick came to town on Wednesday and we've been hunting ever since.

He took a doe Thursday night on his first day of hunting. Pictures will be up soon on that. I got video of the hunt and the hunting widow is studying up on how to get the video on the web. Like I said, I should have my own show. It was way cool.

This was Nick's first deer with the bow and we're both pretty pumped up about it.

He shot another doe last night but we weren't able to recover that one. Left a great trail and then it just went dry. Searched this morning for blood and the body but no luck.

My daughter Katie is hunting this weekend for the Illinois youth gun season. The deer beat us to the spot this morning and then the coyotes were roaming around us so we just hung it up and went looking for Nick's deer.

We've come home for lunch and a nap and then back out to the woods for more family hunting.

Hunting with the kids is just great. I like the guys that come out every year, but this is almost heaven.

I'll work on the pictures and the video. Hope to have them up soon. And I'll get you updates on the family hunt as they become available. Until then....
