Illinois Archery Season Applications Are Open

We're in the process of contacting all of our hunters for the upcoming season: Illinois DNR is now accepting applications for the 2006 non-resident archery tags. The window for applications closes June 30th.

Hunters can apply online here at Illinois DNR. We don't anticipate a shortage of tags, as there was a surplus last year. However, it doesn't pay to tempt fate. If you need any help making your application, give us a call.

We're anticipating a good season -- lots of healthy looking deer running through the fields. No antlers visible yet.

The Hunting Widow has started a quilt repair & restoration business, and with it comes her own blog for pontificating about the business, life in the Midwest, and being a Hunting Widow: Force Majeure Farm. No more pictures of deer wearing wedding dresses on Whitetail Fever, at least for a while.

Meanwhile, be sure to check out our blogroll of hunting sites that we check into regularly -- lots of good articles and stories.
